As a permanently busy mum of two constantly-on-the-go whirlwinds, I know how chaotic family life can get! Work, housework, home education, shopping, entertaining kids, me-time (yeah... right!) - there's so much to cram into each day. How many times have you thought, "There just aren't enough hours in the day!"?

Plus, we also have autism thrown into the mix, as Tink, my daughter, is on the autism spectrum. Life in an 'autism family' can be hectic, and exhausting - but every day is different!

Something I'm acutely aware of is just how little 'me-time' we parents of children with additional needs get! Unless you have a ready and willing support system, the chances to go out with friends or as a couple, or even to just have a bath in peace can be very rare indeed.

And yet, as they saying goes, "you can't pour from an empty cup." Finding time for our own self-care is crucial if we're to care for our dependents properly.

I'm always looking for ways to make life a little easier; less stress = happier mum = happier family = happy days!

So, if you're an autism mum (or dad!) who is looking for information on parenting an autistic child, self-care and your own wellbeing, or ideas for suitable family activities, you've found the right place!

Come on in! I'll share our experiences so far: diagnosis, EHCPs, school choices, sensory activities and more. I hope you like it here!
